Causes and Symptoms of Kidney Stones
Kidney stones are solid accumulations of material formed in the tube system of the kidney. Kidney stones cause problems when they block the flow of urine through or out of the kidney. When the stones move along the ureter, causing pain.

Kidney stones can be composed of a variety of substances. the most common types of kidney stones include:
Calcium stones. Approximately 80% of all kidney stones fall into this category. These stones are composed of either calcium and phosphate, or calcium and oxalate. People with calcium stones may have other diseases that cause them have increased blood levels of calcium. These diseases include primary parathyroidism, sarcoidosis, hyperthyroidism, renal tubular acidosis, multiple myeloma,
Hyperoxaluria, and some cancers. A diet heavy in meat, fish, birds and can cause calcium oxalate stones.
Struvite is the name given to the crystal composed of magnesium ammonium phosphate. (Struvite is also sometimes called ¡° ± triple phosphate due to an ancient misconception that the phosphate ions is bonded to 3 positive ions instead of just magnesium and ammonium.) Struvite crystals are not unusual in normal urine and are usually of no consequence but when present in large quantities, can form stones.
Inheritance: some people are more susceptible to the formation of kidney stones, and heredity certainly plays a role. Most kidney stones are made of calcium, and hypercalciuria (high levels of calcium in the urine) is a risk factor. predisposition to high levels of calcium in the urine can be passed from generation to generation. Some rare hereditary diseases also predispose some people to form kidney stones.
Cystine stones are yellow and crystalline. thrive on high levels of cystine in the urine, which happens if you have a hereditary disorder called cystinuria. only one in a hundred kidney stones are caused by this condition. Cystine stones tend to develop in life than other stones, usually between the ages of 10 and 30.
Sudden spasms of excruciating pain (renal or colic uteric) – this usually begins in the back below the ribs, before radiating around the abdomen, and sometimes, groin and genitals
