Power is not exactly walking on, nor does it mean to walk slowly. It’s a little between normal walking and jogging. It is also known as brisk walking. However, it is actually an extreme form of power walking, which is known for running is a sport involving some rigid rules and regulations and is a timed event.

There is a fine line between power walking and jogging. Power walkers walk at a speed that is nearly the speed of almost jogging, but not jogging. Normal people break into a jog at these speeds, but not power walkers. Learning to walk is fairly simple. Using these techniques, we can easily learn to walk faster in reality.

Before going on this subject, however, things were necessary:

Sturdy walking shoes

Comfortable workout clothes

Shoe selection. Selecting just the right pair of shoes is very important when it comes to walking as it will take your weight. Always choose running shoes instead of hiking boots. This is simply because the sneakers are made to take the kind of stress that puts the operation. You also need to bend each shoe separately to locate where it is most flexible. These shoes that flex over the ball of the foot are better adapted to the power that these walkers are less likely to cause any kind of damage. The right size of shoes can make all the difference when it comes to power walk. Still, buying the right size. Please keep in mind that foot swells with an exercise like power walking, so keep that in mind while choosing a shoe. Since the march of power it requires a high degree of flexibility, so choose a shoe that is flat. Make sure the heel and toe of the shoe remains the same. This will minimize stress on the foot when walking faster.

Now, this does not seem very important, but try wearing synthetic socks when walking or power. Researchers at the University of Missouri have discovered that synthetic socks are useful in preventing blisters. Cotton socks, on the other hand, are more likely to cause.

Power walking

Good posture for power walking is very important because it will help you in your task. Follow these steps to develop good posture, then learn to walking speed.

Get up and stand on your right foot does not bend your back or lean forward. Permanent law will help the muscles work better and will ultimately, you are walking fast.

Always move forward while walking. Do not look down, instead, always at least 20 feet in front of you.

Your chin should always be parallel to the ground or up or down. This would greatly help prevent neck pain.

When you walk, usually rock her hips from left to right. In power walking, you have only to avoid this kind of movement in the end, you slow down.

While power walking, make sure you bend your elbows to 90 degrees. Keep them close to your body.

Now, if you start to walk faster and faster, to swing the arm forward, but make sure your hands do not cross your chest.

Taking smaller steps that you start to walk. Do not overstride which ultimately slow you down in the long term.

When you launch your foot forward, push with your toes. This will help to strengthen your speed.

Begin to move forward with one foot while your heel should touch the ground first.

Bring up the other foods as you push with the toes of the front foot.

It consists of a safe, simple and efficient energy healing, based on the fundamental principle that the body repair itself is a living entity. He is currently practiced by physicians, nurses, massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors and other professionals in the health field.

Pranic Healing is a revolutionary and comprehensive system of natural healing techniques using prana to heal and / or prevent various diseases. In turn, it produces a better quality of life both physically, mentally and emotionally. Pranic Healing Master Choa Kok Sui-or as it is called globally, Pranic Healing, is a method based on the fundamental principle that the body is a living entity “self”, ie who has the innate ability to heal also .

To understand this technique is necessary to explain what is meant by Prana. It is a Sanskrit word that literally means “life force” the invisible bio-energy or vital energy that keeps the body alive and in a state of good health. While the Japanese call this subtle energy “ki” the Chinese “chi” the Greek “pneuma” in Polynesia is known as “mana” in Hebrew is called “Ruah” meaning breath of life. Also, Pranic Healing instructor, Maria Jose Murguia, explained that “the Prana or life force is the life principle is everything. When the body is sick or suffering, the life force and the energy field of the body are affected. In this sense, Pranic Healing teaches the technique to clean and recharge the energy body “There are three main sources of prana from natural elements: air, sun and vegetation. A fourth source is the Divine Prana, which is received as a result of meditation and prayer. A practitioner of Pranic Healing will learn how to obtain prana from all natural sources mentioned above and, thus, can transmit it to others for purposes of healing. Meanwhile, in the palms of your hands are energy centers called chakras. Through certain exercises, these chakras are activated. Once in action, they become sensitive to feel the energies of others and themselves, with the aim of exploring the energy field or aura, locate blockages and / or leakage energy, clean, energize and revitalize the area with new energy.

Healing & Health
Pranic Healing is considered a preventive technique, since the energy is sick can be detected in the energy body before appearing on the physical body.
It does this using simple techniques and first aid practices and techniques to treat larger serious ailments like cancer, multiple sclerosis, addiction, depression, phobias, which can be applied on the person or if it is at distance.
This is an accurate method to determine the specific problem, locating the abnormal energy in the aura and the chakras, and where the healer will choose the appropriate protocol to heal paciente.De Thus, the healing is done by cleaning the sick and then the energy of the aura and chakras with pranafresco.En the extent that the aura and chakras are normalized, the physical body recovers quickly. There are several instruments to detect a person’s energy field. One of these is a Kirlian camera, which takes a photograph of the emanation of energy from the fingers and around the head. Kirlian photography shows different colors that outlines the health status and awareness of the person. Currently, Pranic Healing is being studied and practiced in many medical centers and teaching healing and distributed around more than 70 countries on five continents by physicians, nurses, massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors and therapists in general health .
Although Pranic Healing is only a complementary medicine, not replace, the instructor Murguia said that “it is being used successfully and with amazing results, in combination with conventional medical treatments. In turn, it has proven its high efficiency in treating various medical problems ranging from simple back pain to cancer, through addiction and infertility.

How does?
Kirlian photography has shown the existence of a body “vital” or energy that interpenetrate and extend beyond the visible physical body. The disease then appears first in this energy body (sometimes named as etheric or bioplasmic) before manifesting in the physical body. The Pranic Healer cleanse the energy body and removing the dirty prana energizing the body with prana fresh vital energy, thereby facilitating the natural process of healing the physical body. Today, Pranic Healing is still practiced by physicians, nurses, massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, shiatsu practitioners, and many other professionals within the field of health has consistently enabled to heal in the shortest time possible. Thus, these and other professionals, have found that this technique is very effective and easy to learn and apply. It is practiced and studied by teachers and practitioners of other energy healing methods for deepening knowledge and obtaining better results, as well as by many of those eager for a better quality of life spiritual and material beings with great dedication to service and desire to help others, mothers, housewives, teachers, artists, instructors and practitioners of yoga, tai chi, and many of those who are sick of being sick.

How you learn?
“Pranic Healing is easy to learn, easy to apply and extremely effective,” said Murguia. Since the problems of the physical body are associated with imbalances in the energy body, Pranic Healing teaches a method to identify, explore, locate, identify and correct the specific problems with the aura and chakras, even before it is manifested at physical. Learning of this method is accessible to anyone who has any intention of promoting health, and willing to follow the instructions provided in a clear and unambiguous, to ensure the effectiveness of treatments.
Even parents can use in their children, couples can apply each other or anyone can use it at your loved ones, and everyone can use it in themselves, directly and distance.

The role of antioxidants in protecting the body

The imbalance between production of free radicals and antioxidant defense causes oxidative stress leading to organ damage.

Happen in our bodies without us noticing, countless chemical reactions. Processes such as breathing, feeding, movement and everything that our bodies and our minds made up based on chemical reactions. Following some of these reactions originate very special compounds called free radicals. ” These molecules are extremely unstable and search elements with which to react. In this mechanism, as a free radical can be detrimental to the cells, which are the building blocks of all organs and all parts of our body. Antioxidants are substances that combine with free radicals, thereby preventing cells from damage.

Can you prevent free radical production?

No, its production is inevitable, what to look for is to defend them. One way of defense is to avoid situations that produce too much. According to the Lawyer M. Licata of zonadiet.com, would be: very intense exercise, stress, consumption of snuff, alcohol, breathing polluted air and excessive sun exposure. Also we must add the intake of hydrogenated oils like margarine or foods containing it and the consumption of trans fatty acids, abundant in red meats.

The fight invisible

Our body is fighting against free radicals any time of day. The problem for our health occurs when the tissues have to bear an excess of free radicals for years. According to Yoel Lopez Trujillo of the Higher Institute of Military Medicine in Cuba these free radicals collide with a biomolecule and you subtract one electron, rusting, thus losing its specific function in the cell. ” In the case of lipid cell membranes are damaged, if there is a protein fragmentation and loss of the specific function of the protein. If damaged nucleic acids that form DNA and RNA, develop mutations that lead to cancer development or loss of gene expression.

The known negative effects consecuenciasLos oxidative stress leads to an aging of various tissues due to cell death. The most vulnerable areas are the skin, brain, cardiovascular system and vision.

The skin area that receives more attack many toxic agents producing free radicals, like the sun, pollution and cigarette smoke. It is often the first indicator of our age and of good or bad treatment we have given to our body. With aging are wrinkles, sunspots and skin becomes dry. But all these signs will be milder if we care properly.

The Center for Medical Research, Giron said that the “oxidative balance disorders caused by exposure to solar UV as a causal agent in the increasing incidence (approximately 6% annually) of skin malignancies.

The brain

Symptoms of aging are manifested as loss of mental capacity, slow reaction, difficulty learning and forgetting things move dates and names. Diseases such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, alcoholic neuropathy, hyperoxia, ischemia, or stroke, are associated with free radicals attack the cells. Current studies seek to test vitamin E (which is an antioxidant substance) and neuroprotection in neurodegenerative disease operated Alzhemier.

According to a study by French researchers, published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, people who eat foods rich in flavonoids (antioxidants found in red wine, tea or carrots), appear to be better protected against mental decline associated with aging. The study included 1640 healthy people over 65 years. Those who had higher intake of flavonoids, showed a slower mental decline than those with lower intake of these antioxidants.

Trans fatty acids (TFA) or trans fats are unsaturated fats behave like saturated fats. Numerous studies have shown that trans fats are bad for the heart. They are even more dangerous than saturated fats. This type of fat increases bad cholesterol (LDL) and lowers the “protector” (HDL) and may promote cardiovascular disease.

Trans fats in foods

The AGT are of animal origin. They are formed naturally in the milk fat and ruminant meat (beef or lamb).

But they are of plant origin. They are produced in industrial processing of foods with vegetable oils (soybean or sunflower) modified through hydrogenation. This process involves adding hydrogen molecules to the chemical structure of oils to give them a solid consistency. These trans fats “are cheaper, enhance flavor and prolong the life of a number of products”, explained in a report by Consumers Union of Valencia. Its adverse health effect was not known then.

Partially hydrogenated oils

Trans fats are in some industrial bakery products, cookies, margarine, ready meals (croquettes, lasagne, pizza, pies, frozen potatoes), breakfast cereals, candy or snacks (microwave popcorn ) or salty (potato chips). Appear on nutrition labels as partially hydrogenated oils. Its content may vary between 1 and 30 percent, according to a study by the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA).

Some food businesses are reducing the use of these fats. “Before, margarines contained a notable proportion of trans fats, margarines are now less than 1 percent,” explains Xavier Pinto, a specialist in the Lipid and Arteriosclerosis Bellvitge Hospital in Barcelona.

Trans fatty acids are also formed when cooked with refined oils such as sunflower and soybean to high temperatures.

Just two grams of trans fat per day

European health authorities set the limit of trans fat in 2 percent of total daily energy while the World Health Organization recommends 1 percent. In an average diet of 2,000 to 2,500 calories consumption means a maximum of 2 to 2.5 grams of trans fat per day.

In Spain, consumption of trans fats is lower than in other European Union countries, the report TRANSFAIR. “For the food industry has decreased the content in its products and because we are one of the major producing countries and consuming olive oil, such as Greece and Portugal,” said Xavier Pinto.

Always check label

To know what we buy we must read the nutritional composition of the product labels. Just some brands use the demand for healthy food among the ingredients when oils are partially hydrogenated vegetable oils that could be palm, palm kernel or coconut (which are saturated fat).

“Reducing trans fat intake as part of nutrition policy in many countries,” points out the specialist. Since 2006, American companies are required to label the trans fat content in products. Denmark is the first European country since 2004, also requires tag, because its content does not exceed 2 percent.

In Spain there is still a loophole in the labeling of trans fat. There is no law requiring state on the label the content or the amount of trans fats used in industrial food processing. It is expected that the draft Law on Food Safety and Nutrition, located in open court, reduce its use by the food industry. The new legislation limited to a 2 percent maximum levels of these fats in processed foods.

Increased cholesterol

“In the late fifties was known the effect of fats on health. In the two decades after it became clear that saturated fatty acids increased low density lipoprotein (LDL or “bad”) cholesterol and polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6) decreased them, “says Pinto.

Independent research of the sixties and seventies showed how trans fat also increased the “bad” cholesterol (LDL) cholesterol and reduced the “protective” (HDL). In 1980, at the request of the Netherlands Heart Foundation, assessed the nutritional composition of edible fats, and the amounts of trans fats in some foods.
Current studies on trans fatty acids

Scientists are still researching the trans fats to know their effects on coronary heart disease. Among other issues we want to know “if the trans fat of ruminant and industrial trans fats affect the way in metabolic syndrome.

War on Cholesterol

Cardiovascular diseases are a public health problem in the world for its high prevalence and because they are one of the leading causes of death.

The current eating habits are altered by the influence of multiple factors such as urbanization, which includes fast lifestyle and various amenities, including, make available a variety of easy to prepare food with little or no nutritional value .

If to this we add another characteristic of the typical pace of life in the big cities, physical inactivity will result in imbalances in the body that initially show no symptoms, but if detected early can be fatal to health, as in the case of increased blood cholesterol.

What is cholesterol?

Cholesterol is a waxy substance that the body uses to protect nerves, make cell tissues and produce certain hormones. The liver makes all the cholesterol your body needs but it can come directly from the food you eat, for example eggs, meat and dairy products. Too much cholesterol can have a negative impact on health.

Good Cholesterol

“Despite what you might think, cholesterol is not bad, is a fat and is so important that the liver produces two thirds of what it takes to be part of the body’s cells, produce hormones necessary for life and vitamin D. In this production is called endogenous cholesterol. Opinion expressed by the degree in nutrition Karina Ortiz López, nutritionist Nutrisa center.

Meanwhile, exogenous cholesterol is fat that comes from animal foods such as red meat, chicken skin, whole milk, egg, yellow cheese, seafood such as shrimp and all viscera as tongue and brains.

Risks of having high cholesterol

The excess is stored cholesterol in the arteries, ie the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the body. The accumulation of cholesterol in the arteries known as plaque. This will cause the arteries to narrow and harden which is known as arteriosclerosis. Large deposits of cholesterol can completely block an artery. Cholesterol plaques also may crack causing the formation of a blood clot that blocks blood flow.

If an artery that supplies blood to the heart muscle is blocked, can cause a heart attack. If the artery that supplies blood to the brain is blocked, a stroke can occur also called embolism.
Cardiovascular diseases in the world

In 2009, the World Health Organization released statistics that placed cardiovascular disease as the leading cause of death in the population. On the planet Earth during that year killed more than 17.5 million people by them. This figure is equivalent to half the population of Canada.

Cardiovascular diseases in Mexico

* In Mexico, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death. And the prevalence of factors that create them is very high.
* 30% of Mexico’s population is hypertensive which means almost 18 million, the problem is that 60% is unknown.
* 43% of Mexico’s population has high cholesterol.
* 50% of people with hypertension have high cholesterol, almost 9 million.
* In Mexico, 10.7% of the population is diabetic, and the leading cause of death for diabetics is cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Nestor Saucedo, physician assigned to the Cardiology Service Medical Center 20 de Noviembre National ISSSTE, estimated that the immediate treatment of a person to suffer a heart attack or cardiovascular event in the private sector varies between 180 and 350 thousand dollars. The cost of cardiovascular diseases is not only economic, but emotional. It only affects those who suffer, to their family and even society.

Tips for preventing heart disease

* At least once a year, made a measurement of blood cholesterol.
* Practice preferably physical activity and cardiovascular type: walking, running, biking or aerobic exercise.
* Reduce consumption of: red meat 2 times a week, sausages 1 time per week and viscera 1 time per month.
* Moderate consumption of seafood
* Prefer dairy like milk, cheese and nonfat yogurt or light.
* Remove all visible fat from foods of animal origin.
* Increase consumption of fiber from whole grains, vegetables and legumes.
* Prefer foods grilled or steamed instead of fried.
* Avoid excess sugar and salt.
* Avoid cooking with animal or vegetable shortenings.

Quality of life in patients with cholesterol

Today people require treatments that simplify their lives and ensure control, security and efficiency, which are capable of processing the overall cardiovascular risk by taking fewer drugs, avoiding the complications of older patients who already have.

There is a first alternative therapeutic capable of treating hypertension and cholesterol together, two diseases in one tablet, with a long-acting effect of 24hrs, succeeding in reducing the overall risk of the individual and allowing patients to lead a life with less complications, “this new medicine is definitely a good alternative to achieve adherence to therapy,” adds Dr. Nestor Saucedo, physician assigned to the Cardiology Service Medical Center 20 de Noviembre National ISSSTE.

The alternative treatment consists of molecules of two of the world’s leading drugs that are merged into this formula, amlodipine besylate, the most commonly prescribed to control high blood pressure and atorvastatin, a leader in controlling high cholesterol levels in blood. Both have clear evidence of efficacy, safety and tolerability, in addition to having demonstrated decreased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality of patients who take them.

What is Obesity?

Obesity is a disease that affects many people in the world with indifference to sex, age, social class and other factors. This disease is due to excess body fat, ie when the body has more calories than they need to survive, these calories are stored in the body causing an excess weight. This does not mean that any person who is overweight is obese. Obese or overweight when already far exceeded the ideal weight. There are different ways of measuring whether a person is obese or just overweight. According to Body Mass Index (BMI) that a person is considered obese if their index (BMI) exceeds 30.

It is a chronic disease, meaning that persists over time. A man or woman who suffers from obesity can not decrease their body fat naturally from one day to another, much as he wishes.

Obesity markedly decreases quality of life of the patient and prevent him from certain activities. Moreover, obesity also causes an imbalance in the body, which has other issues, risks and complications. Obesity may trigger diseases such as diabetes or heart problems can also cause complications including kidney failure, high blood pressure problems, varicose veins, besides being a risk factor for a host of other medical problems. Obesity is also a major risk factor for suffering a heart attack, or stroke.

This disease has no specific cause but may be due to several different endogenous and exogenous factors. In many cases it may be due to poor eating habits and also because of lead a sedentary lifestyle (exogenous), while in other cases it may be caused by other diseases such as thyroid problems (endogenous). It may also have a strong hereditary component and due to a genetic predisposition of man or woman.

What if you lower blood pressure?

During the day, blood pressure is maintained at constant values, with normal 130/80 mmHg. If for some reason you pressure drops sharply, hypotension exhibited symptoms as a result of reduced influx of blood to different organs including the brain.

The characteristic symptoms are dizziness, blurred vision, faintness, palpitations and general weakness. These symptoms increased in importance and duration depending on the cause of the decrease in blood pressure.

Some of the causes that produce hypotension features are the abrupt changes of position, medication, overheating, dehydration, or stay for long periods of standing.

If you’re one of those women which lowered his blood pressure is often quite common then you can follow the advice you give below:

 1. Try not to make sudden movements
2. By getting out of bed, slowly merge, then sit for a minute with legs flat on the floor and then stand up.
3. Avoid standing for long.
4. Use compression stockings. Increases peripheral pressure in the legs, allowing the blood supply to the heart and thus blood pressure elevation.
5. If you have no medical contraindication, increased consumption of salt in your diet.
6. Maintain a fluid intake of between 2 to 3 liters per day.
7. Avoid prolonged periods of fasting. Do not skip breakfast.
8. Avoid alcohol
9. If you perceive that you fade, lie down with legs elevated or sit with your head down.
10. If you’ve done any intense physical activity, rest, take fluids and something frugal.
11. If you are in a closed room, open the doors and windows.
12. If you are in a very hot day, use lightweight clothing and clear, take fluids and stay in a cool and ventilated.
13. If you take medication for frequent or continuous mode, control yourself with your doctor periodically to revisit the indication and possibly adjust the frequency and dosage.

The power and the pattern of diet for a diabetic should always be under the supervision of your physician or endocrine, including foods, healthy and beneficial for your health. But we can follow some recommendations that can improve and help us in this metabolic disease.

Recommendations:

Follow a diet low in carbohydrates, remains a key strategy for gaining control of the glycemic index and blood sugars.

Substitute sugar or sweeteners by dietary saccharin.

Eating foods rich in fiber like fruits that are rich in soluble fiber, and whole grain bread, and that fiber prevents rapid absorption of sugars.

Consuming low-fat protein such as soya, tofu, skim milk, fish and lean meat, removing fat from them.

Discard the alcohol for their contribution of sugars or minimize, the highest one, preferably two glasses of alcohol daily as a dry red wine, cava, etc..

To reduce the risk of nocturnal hypoglycemia in individuals using insulin or insulin secretion, alcohol should be consumed at meals and not outside them.

The fats should be minimized.

Avoid high-glycemic foods should be eaten only rarely, preferring foods low glycemic index.

Remove saturated fat, margarine, butter, animal fats found in meats and sausages and coconut and palm oils widely used in bakery products.

Eating fish preferably blue, like tuna, sardines, mackerel, salmon, etc., over the meat because they contain omega-3 acids that benefit our health, at least three or more servings of these during the week .

Lose weight and keep your weight is very beneficial for diabetics, first because it decreases insulin resistance, which makes it possible to decrease blood sugar naturally.

Diabetics can benefit from proper diet along with the practice of moderate physical activity for weight loss, such as walking, bike ride, yoga or Pilates are examples of appropriate exercises can be performed.

Nutritional supplements like chromium picolinate, brewer’s yeast and spirulina algae are beneficial jointly help fight and prevent this disease, regulating blood sugar levels naturally.

Cancer is an uncontrolled proliferation of cells growing abnormally in the body. The transformation of a normal cell into a cancer cell is result of genetic alterations that will gradually disrupt the control systems of the cell.
The term cancer includes a set of conditions. There are over a hundred types of cancer.

Almost all tissues of our body can be affected by this disorder whose causes, trends and consequences are very different.

How does a cell become cancerous?

Healthy cells, which are the basic element of tissue, arise, divide and replace themselves in an orderly fashion following a specific program defined by their genetic heritage. This process allows the body to maintain balance.
Sometimes, however, certain cells lose their ability to controlled growth: they divide too rapidly and grow in a disorderly fashion, forming a lump called a tumor.

However, all tumors are not cancerous. If the growth stops, it is not cancer but a normal phenomenon.
But in some cases, the tumor may progress to carcinoma in situ, ie localized cancer.
When the cells continue to divide uncontrollably, the local tumor grows at the expense of tissues and organs surrounding healthy. To further develop the tumor produces substances causing blood vessels to supply it with energy. This is called neovascularization of tumors.
In passing through the blood or lymphatic system, tumor cells can spread to other parts of the body to form new tumors. This is called metastasis. The cancer becomes invasive.
So even if an initial cancerous tumor is removed, the disease may thus recur. This ability to spread throughout the body that it is essential to detect the earliest possible tumor and whether it is benign or malignant.
In all cases, effective treatments, to control the disease are possible once the diagnosis of cancer is raised.
